Well it seems that I haven't mentioned anything about him in here in a long time. As I probably said a long time ago, Tommy is the cute construction worker boy from the company re-doing our floors.

When he was working late I would leave my computer on so he could check his fantasy baseball team. One night he left me a note on a napkin in response to a post-it I had up to remind me to take care of organizing a work event. His note said:

Laura, can i come to the summer outing?? lol

Next day I wrote back - only if we were dating :)

Him - ooo maybe that can happen!! lol

Me - oh really?!
hope your team is doing good!
i wrote an arrow & put my number on the other side.

There was no response to that b/c the night of his "oo maybe that can happen" he hurt himself and has been out of work since.

Before he was hurt I joked about how I new his email addy b/c we both have accounts with the cable company and when he checked his it left it in as the login.

4/23 - Me to him - If you didn't want to work anymore you didn't have to go and hurt hurtself!

4/23 - him to me - lol. yeah ya know i just said to myself ill mess my knee up so bad that i need surgery ..so i dont have to work.....lol. good to hear from ya stay in touch.oooo i never got to see the response on the napkin.. tell everyone i said hi .. good to hear from u.

4/23 - me to him - so how badly did you hurt it? the message on the napkin was my cell number ;) (i proceeded to give him the number again)

4/25 - him to me - im going for an mri on thur. its a reinjury of my old hockey days. i think its a torn acl.... (he didn't comment on anythng else in my last email so i somewhat took that as he wasn't interested in that way)

4/30 - me to him - So how did the MRI go?

4/30 - him to me - im getting the results either today or tomorrow.thanks for your concern i appreciate it.tell everyone i said hello.stay in touch.

4/30 - me to him - the big question is .... how DID you hurt yourself??

5/11 - The buzz around the office is "wow, that construction company hires really cute guys. The first construction guy was cute, and so is this new guy" Figured you'd enjoy that. :)

5/11 - him to me - now im not feeling that good as it is and now im jealous. is he flirting? 90 park is mine! im better looking then he is. hes a farm boy from orange county. ill be back in august. 90 park will still be going on.........lol....hope ur doing well tell everyone i said hello sorry havent e mailed in a while getting ready for hospital have agood weekend .. whats the story with the company picnic lol ?lol?

i'm sure construction will still be going on. we were originally told moving would happen this weekend. then memorial day weekend. even cancelled my damn room in the catskills b/c everyone was "so sure" it would happen .. so much for the Shamrock House! last i heard was mid-june but i'll believe that when the movers show up with boxes for me. so now it will be just me around memorial day weekend :( so what's the deal with your knee? how long will you be out? i already told you the conditions of the picnic ... gave you my number ... which you haven't used :P

5/12 - him to me - i dont have any number! do u mean to tell me my last night at 90 park u left me ur number? did u leave it on the napkin? ur playing with me. at least let me be a man and ask u for it.... lol lol im working on that part. *try to give u that smilie face thing but i dont know how to do it* anyhow i'm sorry about shamrock house.. it will be ok ...many many people have lived through not going to east durham.. its not the end of the world. the knee is bad. no good. i need surgery. and what do u mean how did i do it? one of ur last e mails u wanted to know how i did it. u dont know? i was right outside the building going to my car. the garage on 39th st was closing at mid night so i was running, my foot went into a pot hole over by the sewer drain and i felt my knee pop. i said thats not good. went home and it blew up like a balloon. and the rest is history. why what did u hear...aah it doesnt matter.

ah i'm not too upset about the shamrock house. i need to get started on painting my bedroom so that will be my project for the weekend. besides, it will be nice to have a quiet weekend with no going out. its been something every weekend this month. 2 birthday parties two weekends ago. had a wedding this past saturday. yesterday was the afterparty that I skipped. this saturday is a surprise 35th bday party.

i had no clue how you hurt yourself. we knew that someone fell off a scaffolding upstairs and an ambulance was called. next thing jaime was telling me, I guess Charlie or someone said you had gotten hurt too but didn't say how. we knew it was your knee but that's about it. also heard that who ever replaced you was also hurt recently and there's this new guy on the job ... i think carole said his name was rich. he was the one causing the commotion with the paralegals who were chatting away in the kitchen behind me talking about the new cute guy lol

thanks for the happy mothers day. it was quiet. my mom ditched us - my cousins daughter was making her communion up in michigan on saturday so mom was there. gone till the 23rd. must be nice to be retired lol. i slept till about 11 and picked hallie up. we had burger king (woohoo lol). came home to watch charlotte web. made baked ziti & cupcakes and was lazy all day. now THAT a perfect day. one where i don't have to do much lol. hope you had a good one with your mom!

so for now that's it ... i'm trying not to let myself get too excited over the prospect. but obviously, unlike other guys i know, he *seems* interested. especially the part where he said "at least let me ask".

Ah its been a while since I've updated lol.

Birthday was good. Stayed in on my actual birthday (4th), Saturday was Brian's bday so we were all at the Rehill house for a bbq. Sunday we went to dinner at the seisiun and hung out there. I took Monday off to be lazy.

Friday Hallie & I met Eileen & Katie to get our nails done. Saturday she went to dance, then we came home and got ready for the wedding.

The church was perfect. So Siobhan & Liam. Her dress was perfect. Everything down to the little details were SO them which I really love. Had a few texts from Frank during the reception so he came out to meet us. Of course I had a few from Sean too .. I didn't respond to those till we were on the bus on the way to the bar. He did show up but once Frank got there he kept his distance so I'm *hoping* he'll figure things out and I can avoid the talk .. yes I'm a chicken.

Everyone had a great time .. some were more loaded than others :lol: but I'm happy to say I wasn't one of them. Feeling good, yes. Drunk, no. At 2-ish we headed out. As I was saying good bye to Deirdre friend Stephen, he attempted to REALLY kiss me, which didn't go over well with Frank lmao.

During the reception the band recognized the fact that Siobhan's cousin Patrick, who's in the Navy, is about to ship out (today) so they played Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA. As I was leaving I pulled him aside to say good bye & stay safe ... he picked me up lol. Which again, didn't go over well with Frank.

Came back to my house. Fooled around a bit. What pisses me off is that I really feel that things are so easy for *us*. I think we would make a good *us*. *sigh*. We have fun. There's just that ease, kwim?

He was working a double shift today & actually ended up seeing him out when Hallie wanted to ride her scooter. I lmao though b/c Hallie said "wow, he's lucky he's a cop. he gets to protect us from the bad guys" i just smiled at her while thinking "yeah the bad fishies" lol. I shouldn't say that - even though I do joke a bit with him about it. He's still a cop and still carries his gun, listens to the radios about stuff going on, can answer the calls, and still puts his life on the line.

I'm really hoping Sean gets the message. I feel bad b/c he's such a nice guy but that feeling just isn't there. Whereas with Frank, it seems natural. Its easy. No work, it just happens. Now if only I can get him on the same page we'd be all set lol.

Hallie has her talent show this Wednesday night and then is off Thursday/Friday. I may take Friday off, haven't decided. Saturday is Kevin's surprise 35th bday which should be a blast!
